Chapter 1623: 704 Seeking Unattainable (Ending Part 13) Chapter 1623: 704 Seeking Unattainable (Ending Part 13) The family was celebrating Peter Aria’s birthday.

The gift from Aubree Groove, as always, was a silk sachet.

This time however, the silk sachet was hand-made by Aubree.

She embroidered the character “Aria” artistically, and accompanied it with auspicious cloud patterns next to it.

The colours matched harmoniously and it was finely crafted.

Even the beads hanging from the drawstring were premium Bodhi Seeds, exuding a faint sandalwood fragrance.

Upon seeing it, Peter immediately took a liking to it, unable to let go.

Just as he was about to open the sachet, Aubree stopped him: “You can only open this sachet when one day, you come across a difficult problem.”
Peter Aria laughed: “Daddy understands, daddy will treasure it well.”
Isn’t this how it always plays out on TV?

The silk sachet holds the solution to all problems.

But, he did not really expect it to be useful, it was his daughter’s sign of filial piety.

Aubree lifted her cup of water; “Dad, Mom, thank you for giving me life.

This life, I’m already content.”
Upon finishing her speech, she downed the cup in one gulp.

She drank the glass of water as if it was her last drink before execution.

Peter Aria laughed: “This child of mine, why does she always speak like an old wise man?”
Only Madam Aria, didn’t have a trace of a smile on her face.

Her desiccated eyes appeared to hide an inexplicable sadness.

After dinner, Aubree bid Anton Cook farewell, and agreed to meet up the next day.

Finally, she freshened up and returned to her room to rest.

“Grandmother?”
Coming out of the bathroom, she saw Madam Aria sitting at the side of her bed.

“Come here.”
Madam Aria signalled her.

Obediently, Aubree walked over and sat next to her: “Grandmother, it’s quite late.

Is there something you need?”
Madam Aria lifted her hand and gently stroked Aubree’s face as if aspiring to engrave a sketch of her into her memory.

“You have fooled them, but you cannot fool me.”
Aubree dropped her gaze, remaining silent.

All of a sudden, Madam Aria wrapped her arms around her, sobbing aloud.

“It’s Grandmother who has failed you.”
——
Having spent the night without sleep, Aubree drew back the curtains.

The sky outside was dark and gloomy, as if signalling rain.

Today was a day of bad luck, not suitable for doing anything significant.

She walked to the washroom.

As she was washing her face, her gaze fixed on her reflection in the mirror; her face looked unnaturally pale.

She picked up her powder brush and dabbed at her face.

The makeup instantly covered her pale complexion.

Next, Aubree chose from her wardrobe the dress that Nikita Parker had gifted her on her birthday the previous year.

She looked in the mirror and smiled satisfactorily.

She then selected a ruby necklace from her jewelry box, placing it around her delicate neck.

Her raven hair was bundled and secured with a Hibiscus Jade Hairpin.

A strand of hair slipped down, adding a touch of gentle charm.

The reflection in the mirror portrayed a graceful, gentle and incomparable beauty.

Aubree picked up the black coat hanging on the rack, squaring it upon her shoulders and fastening a bow around her waist.

Madam Aria sat on the balcony, the soft voice of a young girl emanating from behind her.

“Grandmother, breakfast is on the dining table, I’m leaving now.”
As the closing of the door echoed, a tear rolled down Madam Aria’s parched eyes.

Aubree met up with Eliza Williams in the lift and handed her a nicely packed breakfast.

“Your favourite rolled pancake, without coriander or spring onions.”
Eliza’s eyes lit up and she couldn’t help but pinch Aubree’s cheek: “You know my taste perfectly, what do I do now, I’m getting more and more dependent on you.”
Aubree’s eyes were unfathomably gentle as she spoke in a calm voice: “Nobody in this world can’t live without someone else.”
Eliza furrowed her brows, suddenly lowering her head to meet Aubree’s gaze with her own.

“What’s wrong with you today?”
Aubree pushed her away and walked out of the elevator.

“We are short on time, can you please drop me to school?”
Eliza followed her, “I think I haven’t said ‘Happy Birthday’ to you yet.”
He gazed out of the basement’s skylight: “I am not sure if it’s going to snow today or not.

Do you remember our plan from last year?”
Aubree paused for a moment, “Yes, I remember.”
Eliza laughed brightly, “I hope the day favours us.”
Arriving at the school’s south gate, before getting off the car Aubree turned towards him: “Come to pick me up early in the afternoon.

Don’t forget.”
Eliza smiled, “How could I forget?”
Aubree nodded, pushed open the car door and stepped out.

Eliza sat in his car, watching Aubree step by step entering the school gate.

He didn’t know why but his heart suddenly started pounding fast.

Almost instinctively, he leapt out of the car and ran up to her.

“Aubree.”
Aubree stopped in her tracks and slowly turned around.

In a split second, she found herself enveloped within a warm embrace,
A moment of shock passed before she suddenly felt a stinging sensation in her nose.
